I have known Michael for as long as I can remember. Growing up we lived right around the block from each other and even though I was more friends with his older brother we still talked, played in the high school band together and saw each other in the hallways in between classes, then life happened. Fast forward like 12+ years, I get a email from Alison asking me to photograph her wedding and said she would like for me to meet with her and her fiancee (Michael Henry). I was so happy for her and to hear that Michael was getting married and even more happy that they have asked me to photograph their special day. Thank you for allowing me to capture your beautiful wedding and to be a part of your day. Congrats to the both of you and I hope you enjoy your sneak peak~ Enjoy!!

Blogging for Breast Cancer aWEARness
I am participating in something called Blogging for Breast Cancer aWEARness, you can check it out on A Working Mom's Closet blog. I found it out on my bffs blog Fashion Momma, who is also doing it. Since I am not really into fashion as these two girls are, I have decided to put my own awareness into it and photograph for breast cancer. I will be posting everything that i have photographed in PINK for the month of October. Yes I know its already October 13th, but its better late than never. I do have a few from earlier this month that I will be posting. AND if and thats a big IF i wear pink (if youlooked in my closet, i might own maybe 3 shirts that are pink) I will be posting an outfit post to go along with the aWEARness blogs or if it was from a photoshoot and it has pink in it, I will post that as well. If you feel like you want to participate, PLEASE do so and let Melissa from A Working Mom's Closet know so she can add you to her list!
I will post some photos later tonight!

Joy & Orrin {Forever Love/Trash the Dress Onanock Photographer}
Photography is a art, a love, a passion, a moment... When Joy asked me to photograph her and her newly married husband Orrin in their wedding attire, I was all for it but it wasn't until Joy said we could "Trash her Dress" did I get really really excited. The term "trash the dress" or "fearless bride" as I like to call it, is a style of wedding photography that contrasts elegant clothing with an environment in which it is out of place. It is generally shot in the style of fashion and glamour photography. In other words, we go to different locations besides where the bride gets married, city streets, rooftops, alley ways, abandoned building, fields... etc etc. and shoot. You don't have to "trash your dress" at all. Its just Art. I wish more people would be interested in having this done because its SO much fun!
Before we started the trashing, we had formal photos done, since J & O didn't get as many photos on their wedding day as they would have liked, I was there to help with that problem~ We met at Charlotte Hotel, which Orrin's mom owns, and took a few there and then around the corner to his house for some more.
After the formals, the rain started. How PERFECT for a trash the dress shoot! Joy was such a great sport and was up for anything I asked! I have to say, I'm loving these more and more!! It was so much fun and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Thanks again for allowing me to photograph you guys! And a special thanks to Joys friend Sarah for helping me out and Orrin for holding the rain off my camera! I had a blast!

Holly & Josh {ESVA Maternity Photographer}
I got a call from Barbara about photographing her son and daughter in law's maternity photos a few weeks ago. She told me that Holly was due at the end of October and she thought that this would be a great present to give her son Josh and daughter in law Holly. Most people don't understand the importance of Maternity pictures, and I thank you Barbara for being one of those who do think its important. Memories last forever, but when you have a photo to go back on those memory, now that last a lifetime.
Holly and Josh, I hope I captured those memories that you will have and share with your child and I hope one day that I will get to photograph baby Alex! Thank you for allowing me to capture your miracle to be. Enjoy your teaser :)
